The Wolf on Steam is finally here. Steam is a platform that allows you to emulate PC and console games on your computer. The Wolf,  which originated on mobile platforms, was announced earlier this year to be released by Go Lucky Games with a TBA (To Be Announced) release date. Every year, The Wolf celebrate 4 holidays, Easter, Halloween, Christmas, and New Years. On these holiday events, the developers issue out an over the air update, which require no additional download from the Play Store and Apple Store.  This temporary update consist of adding various theme based decorations, along with a new menu and loading screens, hourly rewards scattered around the maps ranging from coins to gems, along with witch hats on wolves and champions. The update also gives you a 20% bonus reward on all coins and exp earned in the period (10/23 - 11/01), which is great to stack with premium.  The Wolf beta testing was finally live today. For the first time ever, Rage Quit Games created a beta server for the community to preview and test out the upcoming update which includes a new map with over 20+ new animals, new skills with new effects, and several other added features and improvements.  The beta testing window only lasted 4 hours before it was taken down again, but that still gave us plenty of time for us to get a feel for the new features. Below I will be going in to details on all the new changes I experience in the new update.

Its been about 6 months since The Wolf staff confirmed that a new map was in the works. Since then, the community has been eager to find out more details about the new map, such as when will it be coming out, what kind of animals can we expect, and what setting might this new map take place. However, very little information has been disclosed. After the recent The Wolf 2.2 update, with no new map included, it had seem it may be another year until we may receive a glimps of anything, until today. Community manager ItsBlue just made an exciting announcement on discord giving details about the new map along with other updates we can expect. The Wolf Online Simulator 2.2 update has finally arrived! This is the update that everyone has been waiting for! In this update, you can expect to see new skins, a new pack weekly bounty feature, and tons of bugs and fixes along with new balances to the PVP and COOP servers. On Monday evening, the communtiy on Discord received an exciting alert from itssblue via the announcement channel. The message stated: "The new update is officially here and there is a lot to check out! Are you ready to jump into the Pack Weekly Bounty and start earning rewards as a pack? Perhaps one of the two newest skins catch your interest? Alongside this, we are releasing multiple bug fixes and we’ve increased the max level to 90.  Today, The Wolf staff announced some exciting news! It has been over a year since the last major update. Since then, The Wolf  developers have been trickling several improvment updates but nothing that really added features to the gameplay.  In todays announcement, Itssblue highlights the new update which is coming in a few days with some expectations, here is what he had to say. Today, communtiy manager ItssBlue announced a few exciting news! First part of the announcement is a new live update for packs rankings.  Similar to player's rankings, this chart is designed to rank the top packs based on the pack's combat power. A pack's CP score is determined by the combined CP score of all the current members, divided in half. So there are a couple different factors which can help the pack's overall scores, like the numbers of members in the pack. The chart lists the top 100 packs global and local. The current #1 global ranking pack goes out to El1te with currently 50 members and a combined CP score of 725 million. The pack was also featured on our list as #1 pack to join in 2021. El1te currently has 5 players over 100m CP making a 3rd of the packs total ranking. The pack's founders are Mr V, Mr N, and Jess. Now on to the second part of the announcement. Every year The Wolf blesses us with an Easter event and the time has come now! The Easter event is a live update and wont require an app update. The event is currently running all the way through 04/04, Easter. In this event, every player will earn an additional 20% in coins and exp. This will be a great addition if you stack it with premium. The event is theme based. So you will notice a couple changes to the game, like the start screen and loading cards. You will also notice various different decorations around the maps, like bunnies and easter egg baskets. Champs will also be wearing hats to celebrate the festivities. But the best part about the event is every hour you will receive a gift! An easter egg hidden somewhere in the map with possible rewards from coins to gems! When the initial 2.1.0 update for The Wolf rolled out two weeks ago, the update was designed to bring quality improvements to the game and fix bugs/glitches. However, the update itself brought on it's own issues. The main glitch in the update was an error in the PVP servers. The bug was an issue with the reward system (coins earned) which caused certain players to trigger the anti cheat system to send their account to hacker's hell, along with glitching their coins earned, putting their balance in the negative. Because of this issue, the company quickly removed the reward system in PVP to prevent the glitch from further happening until they could determine the issue and resolve it. 2 days later The Wolf rolled out the 2.1.1 update which fixed the issues of the previous update. However during that time, players who wanted to play had to either play PVP without earning gems or only play COOP to earn coins.  Fast forward to today, for the first time ever!  After the recent 2.1.0 update, Venomous skin was updated to please the upset community. The update finally allowed stacking, however it wasnt brought back to its full potential. It had seem some players were still unhappy with the update as it did not meet their standards. The community continued to express their frustration by demanding refunds on the gems they spent. It wasn't until today that the staff finally had an answer. As ItssBlue stated on the community discord, this new update to Venomous skin was a live update and does not require you to update the app. It had seemed that the damage inflicted was lower than developers anticipated.
